Main Event

Now the main event for the month of October will be about Karl Sharrock, the owner and head trainer for Old School Boxing Gym. He will receive the Career Achievement Award, which is the highest award that one can receive as a coach. He will be honored by theĀ  Northern California Veteran Boxers’ Association on October 30th, 2010 where a banquet will be held at the Italian American Social Club in San Francisco.

Karl is deserving of this honor for all of the time and effort that he has dedicated to the sport for the last 22+ years. He has created a reputation as an outstanding trainer and his love and passion for the game shows on a daily basis at his gym. He is sought by many for his experience and knowledge, and often avails himself as he is always willing to share this beyond his own school. More importantly, he has earned the respect of his peers in the industry which is a goal he worked diligently to obtain.

Event at King’s Boxing Gym, Oakland CA

Two Old School boxers won their bouts at King’s yesterday. 11 year old Angel Cordon defeated Anthony Garnica of Jag’s boxing by decision, and 21 year Charlie Jasso beat Tyrone Griffin of King’s gym in a lightweight contest.
